How we use AI
Where AI helps our newsroom, and the checks that stay human.
Last updated October 25, 2026
We believe readers should know how their news is made. The Daily Summit uses AI tools as part of its newsroom, and every story follows the same standards whether or not AI helped.
Where AI helps
- Gathering and summarising reports from multiple sources.
- Drafting stories, explainers and the daily briefing.
- Suggesting headlines, summaries and topic tags.
What does not change
- Every story is based on named, linked sources, listed at the end of the article.
- We never use AI to invent quotes, people, events or images of real events.
- Stories are checked against their sources and our editorial policy.
- When we get something wrong, we correct it openly under our corrections policy.
Images
News photos are real photographs, licensed and credited. If we ever use an AI-generated illustration, it is labelled as one and is never presented as a photograph of a real event.
